Hey, I'm Kat. Mom, retired CPA, and full-time real estate investor.
I didn't grow up talking about money. I moved to the US at 16 with big dreams and spent years doing everything "right" while still living paycheck to paycheck.
I became a CPA. I was literally working with numbers every single day. And I was still broke with credit card debt and no real plan.
Real estate changed that. I retired from my corporate job in 2022. My husband Ryan retired in 2025. We packed up and moved to Colombia. We are still a long way from our final goal, but real estate gave us something we never had before: the ability to choose how we spend our time and work on things that bring us joy.
I created this guide because the version of me ten years ago needed it badly. She was smart, she was motivated, and she had no idea where to start.
